I'm getting a little desperate here. Nothing I seem to do works. All I want is to sheath both my swords on my back in the style of Geralt in the first Witcher game. That's all I bloody want to do. And apparantly to do that I need this Skeleton thing.
I tried downloading it but it's just a jumble of folders with 'meshes' folders in them and I have NO IDEA WHAT TO DO to get it to work. Can anyone help me with this? (PS, I refuse to use the Nexus Mod Manager. I hate that thing, could never get it to work for even the most simple mods!).
Assuming the mods were installed correctly, yes. In order to get two swords on your back you need xp32 extended and dual sheath redux. A mod organizer is highly recommended. I understand the frustration with the complexity of one at first but once you learn how to use it it's worth it. I've heard mod organizer is great but personally i'm too lazy to transfer mods and i don't understand the interface. Anyways, i would recommend downlaoding nexus mod manager and going onto nexus and downloading the mods you need with the button 'download with manager'.
Once the mod downloads it'll show up greyed out in the manager. Click on it and then the green check to install and enable the mod. Some mods (such as xp32) have installation menus. Just choose what you prefer and it'll install. Read the installation instructions for dual sheath redux as it requires some other things to be done other than just installing. I use nexus mod manager and I have about 160+ mods installed and my game runs great. Originally posted by: You should see in this screenshot that I get this weird message when I start the game.
Free download novel islami terbaru. The mod has kind of worked, but I still can't see my second sword. Going by what I was sold, I should be able to see the other sword on my back, crossing the other one.
What's gone wrong here exactly? You don't have dual sheath redux installed.
You need that to have two weapons on your body:P. Xp32 is required but dual sheath is what enables having two swords on your back. Look at this screen shot, it's even here in the mod configurator in game. Originally posted by: Look at this screen shot, it's even here in the mod configurator in game. Go to your skyrim folder.
Then SkyProc Patchers. Then Dual Sheath Redux Patch. Run the patch. Yes, I found that exact file, but when I run it it tries to run in ♥♥♥♥ing windows media player. How exactly does one run this patch. Literally every source I find just says 'run it' with no explanation of HOW. Please remember, I am MAD NEW to all this bull crap.
I literally only started modding 3 DAYS AGO. Well dual sheath redux does tell you that you need java to run the patch, if its trying to run in something thats not java I can only assume that either you dont have java or have for some reason changed the default program. If you dont have java then its entirely on you, as its listed as a requirement and is even a hyperlink.
If you have it and it is atleast the minimum required version, then try right clicking the dual sheath redux patch.jar file and selecting open with - choose default program, then clicking on java if its there or browse if not and navigating to the java install path (the default for me in win 7 was in c:/program files (x86)/java/jre1.8.0101/bin/java.exe). (PS, I refuse to use the Nexus Mod Manager. I hate that thing, could never get it to work for even the most simple mods!) 1. Install your skeleton mods 2. Extract the filesfrom XP32 to your /Data Folder. They're already in the appropriate folders and Windows will merge them appropriately. Open up /Data/SkyProc Patchers 4.
Run the appropriate.bat file 5. Rerun the.bat file if you add more mods that require Skeleton harmonization. There are install instructions included. Your problem is that you are not READing THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS.

And if you refuse to use a mod manager just don't bother modding if you can't figure out how to use a mod manager good luck figuring out modding. +1 and why help somebody who doesn't wants to learn, he spends more time on this thread typing then actually reading the mod pages.
Mod in question: XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended XPMSSE Skyrim Special Edition - Nexus mod number 1988 Updated Vortex this morning. Attempted to reinstall/replace XPMSSE in order to invoke the fomod installer.
Vortex returned the message below in VortexE1AReinstallReplace080318.jpg In all cases herein the error message occurred after all fomod choices were made. Upon clicking the 'finish' button the message appeared. Then deleted the XPMSSE archive, launched Nexus for SSE and grabbed a new copy of XPMSSE via the 'download with mod manager' button. Vortex returned the message below in VortexE1ADLwithManager080318.jpg. Then I returned to Nexus and downloaded XPMSSE to desktop via the 'manual download' button. Attempted to install the archive via the Vortex 'install from file' and Vortex returned the message below in VortexE1CManualDL030818.jpg Other: XPMSSE has been in my load order from day one of my Vortex with no problems.
Due to it's high sensitivity to overwrites of any type XPMSSE has been reinstalled many times via the Vortex Reinstall/Replace feature as both a way to insure it was not overwritten and/or to invoke the fomod installer to accomodate changes. Today was the first time the operation failed. If I can assist further please do not hesitate to contact me.

Today I started a completely new installation of Fallout 4. See screen capture below showing the only plugins in use. Attempted to install Caliente's/body slide/outfit studio (Nexus mod ) by using both 'download with manager' and 'manual' methods. Both yielded the same result (see screen capture) Exact series of events leading to failure (note; the following is the same for either the 'download with manager' or 'manual' methods. No exceptions): Mod downloads as expected. Archive extraction blue progress bar completes as expected. Fomod installer launches as expected.
Fomod installer accepts user selections as expected. Clicking the fomod installer 'finish' button instantly triggers the failure.
As a quick check I then downloaded a random simple mod (GP5 Gas Mask, Nexus mod 33824), with 'simple' meaning - no fomod installer, using only the 'download with manager' method and the mod installed perfectly. See screeen capture FO4E1D080418.jpg depicting it's associated plugin installed and activated. I had this exact issue myself (although I am uncertain if the cause is the same). I found that the error occurred for CBBE and XPMSSE, but not for SMIM, even though all three of them use scripted installers.
How To Install Xp32 Maximum Skeleton Extended
I thus made a comparison between the file structure of CBBE (not working), XPMSSE (not working) and SMIM (working). What I found was that the folder it is warning about in both cases (CBBE and XPMSSE) are empty. That is, 'Compatibility patches/None' and ' Installer ' are both empty. From my understanding of what is happening; when installing these packages, what it tries to do is to recursively change the pathname of these folders and their content to their root folder, which would be a legitimate command to run if you had content that you wanted to move. However, when moving these files (which as you may realize is essentially the same as changing the path name), and they do not exist, what you are basically trying to ask is to remove the empty folder. This is not what the command has been designed to do, and that's why you get this as a response. It's basically saying 'if you actually want to just remove this folder, then there is another command for that'.
In order to temporarily bypass this, I manually unpacked XPMSSE, and combined the alternatives I wanted, zipped the content and added the zip file manually. This is a bit annoying to do, especially if you have several mods that cause you this issue.

Reported by: Rattledagger. Related GitHub issue: If a scripted installer has a choice that leads to the addition of an empty folder, then attempting to install it leads to an EPERM issue. Examples of mods with this issue are XPMSSE and CBBE.
Here are the logs when attempting to install CBBE (which has a 'none' alternative): When I first saw this message, I noticed it was when I first installed using a scripted installer (previous mod installations had not been), both for XPMSSE and for CBBE. I was thoroughly confused by the cryptic message, and tried to find answers online. This error seems to be common when you have other programs actively trying to access the same file while you're renaming it. I decided to not give up though, and realized you wouldn't even consider yourself in an open alpha stage if the program couldn't offer this feature, so I looked around for help specifically related to Vortex.
I noticed how scripted installers are not the issue per se, since they work just fine for ex. I tried installing SMIM myself and found that it worked just fine for me as well. I looked into what the difference was between SMIM's file structure and that of XPMSSE's, and found out that the latter has an empty folder 'Compatibility patches None'.
Similarly, CBBE has a folder ' Installer ' that is also empty. If you're able to reproduce this problem yourselves on your end, then I think an easy bugfix is to simply check if the folder is empty before renaming it. For now, my solution is to manually combine the content that I want, thereby bypassing the scripted installer entirely.

I've had less issues with XPMSE installed than I did with XPMS. Many of the animations which just didn't quite 'work' with XP32 now do for me and my choice to use HDT in conjunction with Rustic Clothing now means the tavern wenches breasts no longer threaten to fall out of their tops. Other HDT glitch issues have all but totally disappeared with XPMSE, too.

This is outside the mandate of STEP to be sure. However, I suspect I'm not the only fan of the STEP's team work that uses STEP as a means of creating a stable platform with which further 'eye-candy/playability' personal choices in modding can be safely attempted. In my experience, XPMSE has helped tremendously. While I have no desire to see HDT with armors, I do find it really helps with immersion seeing a little bit of bounce in gals with dresses dancing to my Become a Bard performances in the various inns and taverns.
